We dug up some photos of our very early rental housing.

It was the early 2000s, the economy started to open with the world, more expats started coming to work. They needed a service housing solution otherwise they had to have a list of Vietnamese contacts for various things broken. With us, they just needed to contact the customer services, we’d deploy help within a day.

Turns out lake Truc Bach has been the place to be for expats from the very start. So we went there to rent out property

No. 25 Nam Trang:

It’s next to our current 27 Nam Trang, and its facade still looks the same after all these years. The residents could enjoy the backyard and do their own things. But it wasn’t so suitable to our business model in the long term, like the 27. So we returned it at the end of term.

No. 4 Nam Trang

It’s a proper compact apartment, it’s still relevant to this day, and still looks the same, sans the CRT tv for sure. The terracotta floor was in vogue at the time, it feels earthy, cool when it's clean, stepping on bare foot, not terribly cold during winter. We could keep this property if we could

No. 29 Chau Long apartment

Cute lighting in the image, vintage feeling, love the glass kitchen in a nice corner near lake Truc Bach. Very compact apartment unit, a sense of nostalgia coming out of these pictures.
